Eagan Foundation Puts Out Call for Grant Proposals

The Eagan Foundation will award $1,000 grants to local groups later this spring.

The Eagan Foundation is rolling out its 2012 community grants program.

Community organizations are encouraged to submit grant proposals to fund Eagan-based initiatives. Eligible grantees are non-profit  organizations based in Eagan and focused on serving the Eagan community. Typically, grants are $1,000 or less. Past  Eagan Foundation grant recipients include Deerwood Elementary LEGO league, Eagan High School, Friends of the  Farm, Kids n’ Kinship, Eagan Lioness & Eagan American Legion Post and others.

Since 1991, the Eagan Foundation has contributed more than $800,000 to the Eagan community through student  scholarships, local initiatives and community grants.

"The community grants program expands the reach of the Eagan Foundation into our community by supporting local non-profit organizations,” said Bob Braun, chair of the Eagan  Foundation. “These organizations serve the community in a number of ways that directly benefit the Eagan community.”

For applications and grant criteria, visit www.eaganfoundation.org.  Grant applications are due Friday, Feb. 24 and can be mailed to Eagan Foundation, c/o Community Grants committee, P.O. Box 211192, Eagan MN  55121.
