Editor's Note: The following is a press release from the Eagan Foundation.
The Eagan Foundation invites area residents and employees to its 11th annual Wine Tasting and Silent Auction on April 19, 2012, from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the Eagan Community Center, 1501 Central Parkway, Eagan. Join neighbors, friends, and business associates in support of the Eagan community and our students.
The event will feature samplings of a variety of wines from the Kowalski's Wine Shop. For beer lovers, Granite City will offer tastings of their microbrewery beers. Kowalski’s also caters the grand cuisine buffet. While sampling beverages, guests can listen to jazz musician Kevin Gamble on the keyboards and shop the dozens of silent auction items from area businesses.
“The Wine Tasting Event is our main fund raising activity for the year,” said Bob Braun, Eagan Foundation Chair. “The dollars raised from this event help fund our own scholarships and facilitate the scholarships of the many companies and families that work through the Eagan Foundation.”
In addition to scholarships, this event helps fund projects for several area non-profit organizations thorough our Community Grant Awards program.
Tickets are available for $40 at the Eagan Foundation website www.eaganfoundation.com until April 12, 2012, when ticket prices rise to $50. The Eagan Foundation has a fundraising goal of $28,000 for the event.
