Fight your blues and indulge your artistic with these upcoming classes at the Eagan Art House. Course descriptions courtesy of the Eagan Art House. Registration information is included below.

FAMILY SATURDAY SAMPLER
Date:
1 p.m. to 3 p.m. on March 9
Description: Open to families with children ages 5 and up. Spend time together creating as a family. If you haven't been to the art house, this is the perfect introduction. Art house teaching artists will guide you through fun family projects. You'll also enjoy artist demonstrations. All supplies provided.
Cost: $15 per family (up to four people) and $3 for each additional family member.

JEWELRY JAM
Date:
1 p.m. through 3 p.m. on Feb. 15.
Description:
Join other jewelry lovers and learn new skills as you create unique pieces of jewelry for yourself or for gifts. Each class will feature a complete project to do, or you may work on your own. Beginning students will learn basic beading techniques including bead selection and the use of tools. You'll also learn how to re-purpose or repair your old jewelry and make it new again. Class fee includes beads and supplies for the month's project. Additional beads are available for a small charge. Please pre-register. Open to adults and teens ages 14-plus.
Cost: $15 per person

MYSTERY ART NIGHT
Date:
7 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Feb. 22
Description: Embrace your sense of adventure with a night out creating art. The mystery is you won't know what you're doing until you get here. But, it's guaranteed to be fun, imaginative and creative. You might try a new technique, play with a fun medium or explore some fun art tools. Great for a date night or a evening out with friends. We'll even serve light refreshments. All supplies provided. Pre-registration encouraged. If not pre-registered - $30 will be payable at the door the day of.
Cost: $25 in advance or $30 at the door.

PAINTING—ACRYLICS, PASTELS AND OILS
Date:
Course sessions begin on March 5 and run through April 16. Each course will be held from 6:30 p.m. to 9 p.m.
Description: Choose one painting medium and enjoy this encouraging, self-paced class with individualized attention. Whether you are a beginning or advancing painter, you'll learn techniques to improve your artwork. Check the website, eaganarthouse.org, for a supply list. Supplies for beginning painters will be discussed during the first class session. Instructor Laurie Toth is an award winning artist with a keen eye for color and composition. All classes are at the Eagan Art House.
Cost: $118 per person

YOUTH PAINTING
Date:
9 a.m. on Feb. 16 and Feb. 23
Description: Open to ages 6-8 and 9-11. Students will create artwork using a variety of media and techniques including paint, paper, sculpture or collage. All supplies are provided. After-school and Saturday classes are available.
