VIDEO: Red Carpet Interview With Eagan Local, 'The Voice' Contestant
Nicholas David, contestant on TV's "The Voice," talks with Patch about growing up in Eagan, performing at the Mall of America last week and meeting his favorite celebrities.

Nicholas Mrozinski—also known by his stage name, Nicholas David—has for a time considered himself a b-grade celebrity. A contestant on NBC's "The Voice," Mrozinski has had plenty of prime-time television to elevate him to the next level. He's certainly got fans in Minnesota.
Last week Mrozinski performed in front of a sea of cheering fans at the Mall of America in Bloomington, just a few miles from where he went to high school in Eagan.
"It was really amazing to come home to such a warm welcome," said Mrozinski. "It filled me up with so much energy."
On Monday night, the vocalist belted out Joe Cocker's "You Are so Beautiful." Patch caught up with Mrozinski on the red carpet shortly after his performance.
