PHOTOS: U.S. Army Birthday Celebration

The U.S. Army observed 237 years of service earlier this week at Rasmussen College.

The United States Army commemorated its 237th birthday on June 20 with a celebration at Eagan’s Rasmussen College .

The event included historical displays from the Mobile Military Museum and Military Vehicle Preservation Association, information about opportunities with the army and a Hearts for Heroes table, where those in attendance had the opportunity to write postcards to soldiers serving overseas.

The celebration also included a ceremony, at which officials representing both Rasmussen College and the U.S. Army signed a Partnership for Youth Success (PaYS) Program partnership memorandum of agreement.

The PaYS Program provides priority hiring status to qualified participating soldiers. Rasmussen is the first college in the country to establish a PaYS partnership.
