The "Year of the Little Dragon" took the Wescott Library in Eagan by storm on Sunday afternoon, as local Chinese residents and other community members gathered for calligraphy demonstrations, Chinese dance performances and even chopstick contests.
Sunday, Feb. 10, marked the first day of the Chinese New Year festivities, a two-week long celebration that traditionally ends with the Lantern Festival. The coming year is designated as the "Year of the Little Dragon".
Eagan's festival was organized by community members and the
Building Bridges Cultural Exchange, a nonprofit cultural immersion program founded by Eagan resident Yanmei Jiang.
