Sen. Al Franken joked with Eagan High School students and their basketball-shooting robot Monday afternoon during a demonstration of the school's First Robotics Team.
Franken spoke with aspiring engineers participating in Eagan High's STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) program. A member of the Senate Education Committee, Franken has worked to expand STEM programming.
The senator was in Eagan to discuss school safety protocols with counselors, safety experts and ISD 196 administrators in the wake of last month’s Newtown shootings.
