Raspberry Sorbet Shakes and Support in Tough Times

Smashburger is selling raspberry sorbet shakes in support of Breast Cancer Awareness Month and two churches are hosting support groups.

Eagan events for Thursday, Oct. 3.

Eagan High School Homecoming Events

The theme is Throwback Thursday at Eagan High School. Thursday's soccer and volleyball games will be against Eastview at 7 p.m.

Storytime for Babies

Thursday's storytime is for infants through 24 months. Older siblings may also attend. The storytime includes  songs and playtime and starts at 10:30 a.m. at Wescott Library, 1340 Wescott Road.

Eagan Police Department Explorer Program

A recruitment open house for the program will be held at 6 p.m. at the Eagan Police Department, 3830 Pilot Knob Road.

Support Groups

Easter Lutheran Church offers a weekly Christian-based support group, called Depression Coalition.The group is open to anyone, regardless of religion, and meets on Thursdays from 6:30-8:30 p.m. at 4200 Pilot Knob Road. There are also monthly educational talks.

A recovery group will meet at The House Church, 2024 Rahn Way, starting at 6:30 p.m. 

Raspberry Sorbet Shakes

Smashburger is making raspberry sorbet shakes for a limited time to support Breast Cancer Awareness Month. For each shake purchased at $4.49, Smashburger will donate 40 cents to Susan G. Komen. Customers can also donate to the organization online at www.komen.org/smashburger
