Bank of America partners with Habitat for Humanity Twin Cities for week-long rehab to provide home for local family

More than 50 Bank of America employees participated in a five-day home rehab in Eagan with Twin Cities Habitat for Humanity in September. The rehab drew more than 10 executives each day from across the bank’s lines of business in Minneapolis/St. Paul. The home was rehabbed for a family of five originally from Eritrea in Africa. The family includes a husband, wife, two young daughters and the wife’s mother.

This property donation is part of a three year commitment by Bank of America to Habitat for Humanity to donate up to 2,000 vacant properties for renovation or reconstruction to help stabilize and revitalize local communities.

In 2013, Bank of America also awarded Habitat for Humanity Twin Cities with a grant to support its homeownership activities including settling low-income families into new or rehabbed affordable homes.
