5 Things To Keep In Mind Today

A roundup of events, information and trivia for Friday.

1. The right lane of I-35E northbound will be closed today from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. The right lane of I-35E southbound will be closed from 6:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. The closures are due to the construction of an overpass connecting Duckwood Drive to Federal Drive. 

2. The weather forecast for Eagan on Friday, June 10 is a chilly 61 degrees and rainy. Lows are going to be around 49 degrees. Perhaps an evening to rent a movie. 

3. The Eddies on the River are performing their "river ballads" at the Dodge Nature Center amphitheatre in Mendota Heights from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. The cost is free. The venue is open to everyone. The performance is the first act of the Summer Concert Series. In the event of rain, the performance will be moved to the Farm Education Building at 1701 Charlton Street.

4. Frances Gumm, later known as actress and singer Judy Garland, was born today in 1922 in Grand Rapids, Minn. She died in London on June 23, 1969. 

5. Beginning at 10:00 p.m. Friday, June 10, all three lanes of eastbound I-494 will close between Robert Trail and Highway 52 as crews work on the south side of the Highway 52 bridges spanning I-494.
