Editor's Note: The following is a press release from the city of Eagan.
Due to demand, an additional date has been added to Little Sweetheart Daddy & Daughter Princess Ball for girls ages 3 – 12 years old on Saturday, Feb. 16 from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the Eagan Community Center. The ball is an annual area tradition with many dads and daughter attending year after year.
This year’s dance is a fairy tale themed-affair co-hosted by S.O.R.R. (South of the River Recreators), comprised of the parks and recreation cities of Eagan, Rosemount, Farmington, Lakeville, Apple Valley, Burnsville and Savage.
Each February around Valentine’s Day, the group hosts a special dance just for little girls and the special man in their life. Dads, grandfathers, uncles or other males with a special “little sweetheart” in their life attend the dance to enjoy a special moment together. Girls typically wear their favorite fancy dress or princess costume and dads dress up too.
Cost of the dance is $30/couple and $10 for each additional child and includes:
- Themed invitation mailed to the adult to give to their girl.
- A free photograph keepsake to take home courtesy of Legacy Creative Images.
- DJ and dancing to kid friendly tunes.
- Decorating a Valentine cooking snack.
- Fairytale craft activities.
- Favor bag, light snacks and punch.
The registration deadline has been extended. For more information or to register, call the S.O.R.R. parks and recreation department nearest you. You can register by phone through Eagan Parks & Recreation at (651) 675-5500.
