City Anticipates Showcase Eagan Event

The city's biennial event will introduce residents new and old to more than 60 community groups and city departments in Eagan.

More than 60 of Eagan's community organizations are busily preparing for this year's Showcase Eagan event.

The biennial event features fun activities for people of all ages and gives residents an easy way to sample local non-profits, civic organizations, associations, churches and other groups in a friendly, trade show-like atmosphere. It is also a good place to find out about parks and recreation programs to get children involved in or about summer events in Eagan.

According to the City of Eagan website, Showcase will feature K-9 police dog exhibitions, fire trucks, street sweepers, police squad cars, and the city's mobile Emergency Command vehicle.

“Never before have organizations needed more people to get involved to make a difference,” says City Administrator Tom Hedges. “That is our theme, and we know the more people engage with their community the better it makes Eagan."

Showcase Eagan takes place on June 2 from 4:30 p.m. until 7:30 p.m. at the Eagan Civic Arena.
