Community Wellness Day is a national event focusing on educating the members of our community on important information which is critical to the total wellness of all our residents. This event will be taking place in many cities nationwide during a four-week period of fall 2012. A similar event will be taking place in Maple Grove on Saturday, Sept. 29 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Maple Grove Community Center.

Our local law enforcement will be on hand to provide guidance on drug awareness, internet safety, and identity fraud protection. Child ID kit information will be available. Local health, safety, environmental, and financial agencies will be providing information for all ages of our community. Admission to the event is free. There will be door prizes, fun, and entertainment. It will be a great and informative time to be had by all.

Eagan & Lakeville Resource Centers will be the beneficiary of the event. Eagan & Lakeville Resource Centers exist to serve those in need and to eliminate hunger in Dakota County.

Dr. Kaiser noted: "The health care crisis is not going to be solved in Washington. It is going to be solved in our community through education, awareness, and people making lifestyle changes. I work very hard outside of my office in our community to give people the tools they need to take back responsibility for their families’ health and wellbeing. It is for this reason that I am so proud to be bringing this event to our town."
