Five Couples Renew Marriage Vows at Eagan Senior Living Home

Families and friends came to the senior living home on Friday to watch the couples renew their wedding vows.

Five couples with a combined total of 290 years of marriage renewed their vows on Friday during a ceremony at an Eagan senior living home.

For 83-year-old Eagan resident Ed Martin, it's been 60 years since he took his wife Jean as his bride at a small church in Brainerd.

"I didn't think I'd live that long, and not be married that long," he told Kare 11. "It was 30 below zero, we were cute young kids."

The Martins' three daughters were all in attendance at the Friday ceremony.

"To see my mom get teary made me get teary," Gwen Schwartz, one of the couple's daughters, who's been married more than 30 years herself, told the TV station
