Editor's Note: The following is a press release from BabyLove MN.

There are a lot of donations drives through the holiday season. It can be common to see toys, boots, and coat donation bins, but often times expecting and new moms are forgotten. BabyLove, a local childbirth and parenting education studio, is running their second annual Bum and Belly Drive now through December 16th.

The Bum and Belly Drive accepts donations of maternity clothing, baby carriers, and cloth diapers. Last year, over 60 bags of clothing and items were collected for moms in need, and this year there is even more interest. Drop off sites are scattered throughout the Metro, including Peapods Natural Toys and Baby Care, All Things Diapers, Bellies to Babies, Enlightened Mama, Nine Maternity, and the BabyLove Studio. Donations will be given to Tapestry Pregnancy Resource Center, The Diaper Drive, Everyday Miracles, and other local organizations.

Owners Brittany Kubricky and Veronica Jacobsen feel this drive is important for many reasons. Being pregnant can be tough any time, and much tougher when you don't have the resources you need. It is very important to have clothes that fit well and make you feel good about your pregnant self. Diapering your baby can be a very costly thing, so being able to donate cloth diapers and educate families on  how to use them can save them money. We also know that at-risk moms who wear their babies during the day have less instances of abuse, and being able to carry their baby can make travel easier.

BabyLove is looking for any kind of press on this drive to help spread the word throughout the Metro to increase our donations. The more donations we have, the more we are able to give to families and organizations in need of these items. Please contact Brittany or Veronica at 651-200-3343, orinfo@babylovemn.com with questions or ideas.
