Eagan Native Helps Create Amplatz Children's Hospital 'Brave' Video

Nurses at the University of Minnesota Amplatz Children's Hospital created a video to Sara Bareilles's song "Brave."

The "Brave" video from the University of Minnesota Amplatz Children's Hospital features children, nurses and staff at the hospital as they dance and lip sync to "Brave" by Sara Bareilles.

Two nurses created the video: Brittany Bloemke and Eagan native Natalie Snyder.

They wanted to create a video that would be a way of giving back to the kids while also giving them a fun memory to look back on after they have recovered from cancer, KARE 11 reported.

"It's not sad here, it's fun," Synder told KARE 11. We have fun with our kids, we have fun with the patients while they're here. We don't want it to be a sad time in their lives because they have enough stuff to worry about," says Natalie Snyder.

Snyder read blogs and other internet sources to learn how to shoot video, CBS Local reported, so that she could "honor their patients" and "make a point."

Participating in the video were around 70 staff members and 20 patients from Unit 5 who have received care at the hospital or are currently receiving care, according to KARE 11.

The video has over 800,000 views on YouTube.
