Eagan's Memorial Day Ceremony Scheduled for 2 p.m. Monday

Community members will gather to recognize the sacrifices made by our nation's soldiers at the Tribute and Memorial Plaza in Eagan.

Eagan American Legion Commander Tom Mullon will preside over a public Memorial Day ceremony at Eagan's Tribute and Memorial plaza at 2 p.m. on Monday.

The ceremony is an opportunity for Eagan residents to recognize the sacrifices made by our nation's soldiers. As part of the gathering, the Royal Brass Quintet will perform and the Eagan Police and Fire Honor Guard will post the colors.

Additional participants in the service will include, World War ll veteran Dick Carroll, the Eagan Men's Quartet, Chaplain Debbie Brown and Mayor Mike Maguire, who will deliver opening comments. Special guest speakers will be 1st Lt. Jonathan Reid with the Red Bulls Division and highly-decorated Vietnam veteran, Mark Mulvihill.

Following the ceremony, there will be refreshments in a nearby park shelter. It is suggested that attendees bring their own lawn chairs for their comfort. The Tribute and Memorial Plaza is located in Eagan's .
