Easter Lutheran Church 'Flash Mob' Targets Homelessness

Church members created a "stream of light" along Pilot Knob Road and slept outside as part of an awareness event at the church.

Easter Lutheran Church members took the streets armed with jackets, flashlights and posters on Saturday to raise awareness for homelessness in Dakota County.

The 'flash mob' created a stream of light along Pilot Knob Road between Diffley and Cliff Roads as they put their faith into action at sunset, according to church spokesperson Laura Hoeft. Prior to the flash mob event, the church hosted a concert by the Concordia Tintinnabula.

Following the flash mob, members of Easter Lutheran and other local residents slept outside in cardboard boxes and were educated about homelessness in Minnesota, Hoeft said.
