    7 to 9 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 11 at Shepherd of the Valley Lutheran Church in Apple Valley.
    Why Go: Treat your sweetheart to an evening with local comedian Bob Stromberg at our annual Valentine’s event, performing his very unique and perfect blend of story, stand-up and physical comedy. Delicious desserts will also be served adding an extra dose of sweetness to this Valentine’s date night.

  • When/Where:
    2 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 11 at the .

  • Trails By Candlelight
    When/Where:
    6 to 9 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 11 at in Eagan.
    Why Go:
    Pick your passion for winter fun at our Trails by Candlelight family event. Ski, hike, ice skate or snowshoe by candlelight, or sled the lighted hill at the Lebanon Hills Visitor Center from 6–9 p.m. Warm up next to the fire or head inside for hot concessions. Ski equipment and snowshoe rental available. Bring your own ice skates and sleds. Preregister by Feb. 9.
    Cost: $10 at the door, $8 in advance.

  • When/Where: 10:30 a.m. on Sunday, Feb. 12 at in Eagan.
    Why Go: There aren't many things that beat reading to man's best friend. Bring your kids into the library to read to certified therapy dogs. It's not only fun, but it helps develop reading skills and fluency. Ages: 5-10.
    Cost: Free.
  • Brendon Walsh at the Joke Joint Comedy Club
    When/Where:
    8 p.m. and 10:30 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 10 and Saturday, Feb. 11 at the Joke Joint Comedy Club in Lilydale.
    Why Go: Originally from Philadelphia, Pa., Brendon Walsh established himself in comedy in Austin, Texas. In 2004 he won the “Funniest Person In Austin” contest and that same year also appeared on ABC’s “Jimmy Kimmel Live." In 2010, he appeared on Conan on TBS.
    Cost: $15 at the door.
