Kids 'N Kinship: Meet Lily

Each week, Patch profiles an area youth looking for adult mentors through the Kids 'n Kinship program. This week we introduce you to Lily.

First Name: Lily
Age: 8
Interests: She enjoys gymnastics, art and craft projects, baking cookies, going to the park, playing all sorts of games, and watching movies.
Personality/Characteristics: Lily is outgoing, talkative, charming and sweet. She lives with her single mom and older sister.
Goals/Dreams: She wants a hamster and to learn how to braid.
Looking For: Lily wants an individual, couple, or family mentor.
 
This child is one of over 50 children currently waiting for a mentor through Kids ‘N Kinship, a private non-profit serving Apple Valley, Burnsville, Eagan, Farmington, Lakeville and Rosemount in Dakota County for 40 years. If you're interested in becoming a mentor, you're invited to attend an information session from 6 to 6:45 p.m. on Jan. 12 at the Burnhaven Library in Burnsville. Mentors can volunteer as individuals, couples, or families for weekly fun and enriching activities at home or in the community on their own schedules.
