Southbound Highway 13 Closed This Weekend

MnDot work is part of the 12-mile-long Highway 13 "Better Roads" project.

 

The Minnesota Department of Transportatoin has closed Highway 13 between Cliff Road and Interstate 35W until 5 a.m. Monday.

A signed detour will direct motorists to Cliff Road and I-35W in order to bypass the closure. Access to local business will be maintained for the duration of the closure, according to a news release from the Minnesota Department of Transportation.

In addition, the intersection to southbound Hwy 13 from Nicollet Avenue, Portland Avenue and County Road 11 will be closed.  

The road is scheduled to reopen by 5 a.m. Monday.

The work is part of the 12-mile-long Highway 13 "Better Roads" project. When complete, the project will result in a smoother ride, improved drainage and upgraded pedestrian crossings and signals that meet modern accessibility standards.
