Editor's note: This is a weekly series called "Pet of the Week" where we feature a companion up for adoption from Dakota County animal rescues.

Foxy, a 35 pound terrier/lab mix, was rescued from the shelter while pregnant.   She gave birth to 9 beautiful puppies who are all looking for homes. There are five girls and four boys available for adoption.

We think dad many have been a pomeranian mix because the pups are fuzzy with curly tails. The puppies have been handled by kids daily, and are used to other dogs and cats as well. They have all been dewormed several times, had their first shots, and have been microchipped.

Foxy and her puppies are being fostered in Lakeville through Happy Hound Rescue. Please visit the website for further information on how to adopt either Foxy or one of her puppies. Adoption fees for the puppies are $150 plus a $100 refundable spay/neuter deposit to be paid to your vet at time of surgery.

We do require a stay at home adult for the first 6 months for puppy adoption.  We also have many other pets available for adoption, many fostered right here in Lakeville.
