Eagan's Caponi Art Park was one of 23 organizations statewide to receive Metropolitan Regional Arts Council (MRAC) grant funding this month.

On Jan. 29, the MRAC awarded $215,730 in grants to organizations as part of its Arts Learning program. Caponi Art Park received $9,950 of that total to fund its Family Fun Tuesdays program, which includes 13 weekly interactive performances and workshops for inter-generational audiences.

The purpose of the MRAC's Arts Learning grant program is to cultivate creativity and deepen arts knowledge for children, youth and adults by engaging people in extended arts experiences, according to a press release issued by the arts council.

Other recipients include the musical Vecchione Erdhal duo, the Chaska Valley Family Theater, ArtStart and the Magic Lantern Puppet Theater, among other organizations.
