OPEN DOORS Christmas Sing-A-Long and Benefit Concert

Tired of singing Christmas songs all alone with your car radio? Join us for an old-fashioned Christmas sing-a-long at the next OPEN DOORS benefit concert at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 11, 2010 at Ss. Martha and Mary Episcopal Church in Eagan.

Leading the music will be La Bonne Chanson, a group of Twin Cities professional musicians founded in 2009 and dedicated to reviving and preserving the art of the song recital. The group will perform several of their own pieces and then lead the audience in a sing-a-long of popular Christmas songs. The first half of the concert will feature sacred hymns and carols, while the second half will focus on pop music. Visit their website at www.labonnechanson.org.

The OPEN DOORS Music Series is in its fourth season of providing music to feed the hungry. Concerts are free and open to the public. A free will offering will be taken at each concert this season to help support the important work of Feed My Starving Children (www.fmsc.org). Concertgoers also are asked to bring non-perishable items to help restock Dakota County foodshelves.
