Photography Workshop at Caponi Art Park

A photography workshop at Caponi Art Park on Saturday, Aug. 18 from 10 a.m. to noon will introduce tips to improve travel, candid, landscape and macro shots. The workshop is designed for intermediate photographers or those who have taken the introductory course at the Art Park this spring.

The workshop will be particularly helpful to photographers who intend to enter images into Caponi Art Park’s annual photography contest, a yearly juried exhibition that invites digital photo submissions now through October 31. Michael Proebstle from Legacy Creative Images will teach techniques to shoot better outdoor images with point and shoot or SLR digital cameras during the first hour of the workshop. The second hour will include time to shoot photographs with the instructor on hand to answer questions. The workshop will be held entirely indoors in the event of rain.

The workshop is free, with a $5 per person suggested donation. All ages are welcome; youth under 15 must be accompanied by an adult. Please call 651.454.9412 to register. Space is limited. More information about the workshop and Caponi Art Park’s photo contest and exhibition is available at www.caponiartpark.org/programs/photoprogram.
