The Awesome Children's Theater Presents: "The Titanic"

For years, The Awesome Children's Theater (A.C.T.) has given children a serious theatrical experience in a community theater setting. Funded by Northern Dakota County Tri-District Community Education Youth Programs, and under the direction of children’s theater artist, Rudd Rayfield, it produces five full-length theatrical productions per year. A.C.T. also offers a series of theater workshops and classes. Children aged eight through fourteen are eligible to participate; as well as acting in the plays, the children are also stagehands and technicians. Parent and High School volunteers help with costuming, set construction, lights and sound. With broad-based community support, A.C.T. brings quality children’s theater to audiences of all ages.

For the third production of its fifteenth season, A.C.T. presents:

THE TITANIC
One hundred years ago this spring, on the night of April 14, 1912, the “unsinkable” Titanic struck an iceberg and came to grief with terrible loss of life. The Awesome Children’s Theater tells the true story of that famous disaster through the eyes of real-life passengers six-year-old Douglas Spedden and seventeen-year-old Jack Thayer.

A.C.T.’s production of The Titanic will be presented on Thursday, March 8, at 7 p.m., and Friday, March 9, at 7:00 PM, at Simley Theater, 2920 E. 80th St., Inver Grove
Heights, MN 55076

General admission tickets are $3.00 in advance, $5.00 at the door.

To purchase tickets and for further information, contact the Inver Grove Heights/South St. Paul Community Education office at 651-306-3633.
