UPDATED: Minnesota Sinfonia Performance Postponed to July 15

Strong storms moving through the metro area last night delayed the performance.

The Minnesota Sinfonia will return to Caponi Art Park at 7:30 p.m. on Sunday, July 15 for a Summer Pops Concert. Originally scheduled for Sunday, June 17, the concert was postponed because of poor weather.

As part of the concert, craft supplies will be on hand before and during the performance for children and families to create a snaking community sculpture. The Summer Performance Series, presented by Crown Rental, is a family-friendly program that features a wide variety of music, theater and dance concerts presented free of charge on Sunday evenings in the Theater in the Woods outdoor amphitheater.

This year’s Summer Family Pops Concert by the Minnesota Sinfonia’s celebrates both classical and popular music from the movies to the romantics. This summer’s diverse concert program will include music from Oliver, The Magnificent Seven, Strauss’s waltzes, Chicago!, and a few marches. Characterized by their elegant strings, this fine-tuned professional chamber orchestra boasts some of the very best musicians in the Twin Cities committed to providing free access to music.
