Project Runway Reality TV Star Making Appearance at Eagan's Wescott Library

Minnesota native Christopher Straub will help teach a two-part teen sewing class at the library in January.

Ever dreamed of being on Project Runway?

Eagan's Wescott Library will offer the next best thing to an appearance on the reality TV show when is hosts a "Teen Fashion Sew-It-Up and Review" featuring season six Project Runway contestant Christopher Straub.

Teens ages 12-16 are welcome at the two-part "Teen Fashion Sew-It-Up and Review". The first session is scheduled from 3:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. on Jan. 10 at the library, and the second will be held from 6 p.m. to 6:45 p.m. on Jan. 24.

As part of the workshop, participants will sew or knit a garment or other item. Participants are encouraged to bring their own sewing machine; only a limited number of machines will be available at the library. During the second session, Straub, a Minnesota native, will review the projects created by students in a one-on-one meeting. Registration for the event is required. Openings are still available.
