Nicholas Mrozinski, one of the Top 8 contestants on NBC's "The Voice", had a surprise up his sleeves for the viewing audience on Monday night.

Mrozinski revealed that he and his fiancée, Krista Balaski, are expecting a third child. The St. Paul couple already has two young sons, who both enjoy watching their father perform on national television, Balaski said earlier this month in an interview with Eagan Patch.

Mrozinski told interviewers the couple didn't yet know the sex of the child.

"Just as long as it's healty I’ll be grateful," Mrozinski said.

But that wasn't all for the artist, who was surprised during the pre-show rehearsals by a guest appearance from Bill Withers—.

"To think that [the song] moved him enough for him to come down and say 'hi' and share his time, I am beyond honored," Mrozinski said in an interview.

This week, Mrozinski, who goes by the moniker Nicholas David on the show, performed a version of Marvin Gaye's "What's Going On"—a performance that included an instrumental solo on a keyboard.

"I just love this element that you give this show and you give us," celebrity coach Adam Levine said. “I’m just going to be a fan of yours forever, as a human being, as an artist."

Following the performances, viewers are able to cast votes in support of their favorite candidate. The two lowest vote-getters will be cut from the show in an elimination episode airing Tuesday evening.
