Young Artists: Submit Your Artwork for Dakota County Exhibit

Artists must live in Dakota County and submit work by Feb. 3.

Young students are invited to submit their work for a Dakota County art exhibit.

The exhibit will be called "Heroes of Today," and the original two-dimensional artwork submitted should reflect the theme.

Submissions are open to students in grades 6 through 8 who live in Dakota County. Students may submit only one piece, which are due Monday, Feb. 3. The "criteria for selection," the submission form and information on how to submit art work is on the Dakota County website.

The Dakota County Public Art Citizen Advisory Committee is organizing the exhibit. The committee will review submitted artwork and recommend pieces to the Dakota County Board of Commissioners, which will make the final decision.

Selected pieces will be on display at the Dakota County Western Service Center in Apple Valley for six months.
