Apple Unveils iPhone 5; Where in Eagan Can You Buy It?
You don't have to drive to an Apple retail store and stand in line for hours to get your iPhone 5 on launch day. The device will be available at a handful of local retailers.

Apple's iPhone 5—the subject of recent speculation and anticipation—was unveiled Wednesday during a company announcement in San Francisco.
Previous versions of the iPhone spurred long lines on launch days at Apple Store locations across the country. But there's no need to travel to a Twin Cities Apple Store and wait in a long line. It will be available soon at several Eagan retailers. Preorders will be taken at some retailers on Friday, Sept. 14, with phone availability expected on Friday, Sept. 21.

Tips: The AT&T in Eagan already has 50 people on the waiting list for the iPhone 5, according to a store representative. The release date for the new phone is Sept. 21, athough the store isn't sure how many phones they'll initially receive. The store is currently taking pre-orders.

Tips: Customers at Best Buy in Eagan will be able to begin pre-ordering the phone when the store opens on Friday, Sept. 14. But pre-ordering doesn't guarantee the customer a phone on the release date of Sept. 21, because of limited availability, according to a store representative.

Tips: On Friday, Radioshack will take pre-orders for the iPhone 5, but a store representative warned that the Eagan store may not receive shipments of the new phone on launch day. Still, customers who pre-order the phone will have priority over others when the phone does arrive.
