UPDATED: Booming Eagan Companies Ranked on Inc.'s National Growth List

Avionte, Prime Therapeutics and Intertech are among the 5,000 fastest growing private companies in the nation, according to Inc. Magazine.

Three Eagan companies got some national recognition last week when they were included on on Inc. Magazine's prestigious list of the 5,000 fastest-growing private companies in the country.

Thanks to their dramatic growth rates, Avionte, Prime Therapeutics, Intertech and White House Custom Colour all made the cut this year. The 2012 list, released annually, ranks privately-held companies in the United States based on their percentage growth between 2008 and 2011.

Here's how all three local businesses stack up, according to Inc. Magazine:

  • AVIONTE

    About: An Eagan-based software staffing company, Avionte develops and licenses staffing software and web-based portal services that facilitate communications between recruiters, staffing agencies, employers and job candidates, according to a press release issued by the company.
  • PRIME THERAPEUTICS
    Founded: 1998
    Ranking: 3,400th of 5,000
    Three-Year Growth: 56 percent
    Jobs Added Over Previous Three Years: 533
    2008 Revenue: $1.2 billion
    2011 Revenue: $1.8 billion
    About: It's no surprise that Prime Therapeutics has seen significant growth. Late last year, the company . The company is a pharmacy benefits manager that administers the prescription drug benefits of nearly 20 million Americans.
  • INTERTECH
    Founded:
    1991
    Ranking: 3,654th of 5,000
    Three-Year Growth: 48 percent
    Jobs Added Over Previous Three Years: 25
    2008 Revenue: $6.9 million
    2011 Revenue: $10.2 million
    About: Intertech, which develops software applications and provides software training for large- and mid-sized companies, made a multi-million-dollar move into a new headquarters along Cliff Road in Eagan at the beginning of the year. The new, 13,000-square-foot building gave the company some elbow room, but another expansion may be in the business' future, according to Intertech partner Ryan McCabe.

    About:
    In 2008, White House Custom Colour launched a major expansion to its headquarters and production in Eagan, bringing the building up to 81,000 square feet. Since then, The company opened a satellite facility on the West Coast. White House provides photo development and keepsake, archival and presentation-style printing options for professional digital photographers in the U.S. and Canada.
