Create My Print Expands from Eagan to Burnsville

Local business owner Amanda Patterson will have a trio of celebrations on Wednesday: the first year anniversary of her business Create My Print, an open house at Create My Print’s new Burnsville location and her own birthday.

Create My Print offers graphic design and printing services, such as business cards and banners. Patterson started the business last year to spend more time with her now 3-year-old daughter, Macy, who has special needs. Previously she had worked for seven years managing another print shop.

“My daughter was a big part of me starting my business,” said Patterson. “I chose to quit my career so I could focus on her therapies.”

So she decided to do printing work from home. “I could still do what I love, still be able to work and be a stay-at-home mom," Patterson said. 

Patterson had been working out of the dining room of her Eagan home. Now she has hired a new employee and at her new Burnsville office, there will be more space to continue to grow her business. Her daughter will also be a frequent presence at the office.

The open house will be 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 29. Create My Print is located in the River Ridge building, located at 190 River Ridge Circle, #206 in Burnsville.

Patterson is a member of a Business Networking International chapter.
