Retail Still in Plans for Former Lockheed Martin Site in Eagan
Among the suggested businesses for the site are Trader Joe's or Whole Foods.
CSM Corporation, the developer for the former Lockheed Martin site in Eagan, continues to focus on retail as a major part of future plans for redevelopment, according to the Star Tribune.
Updated plans sent to the city, according to the paper, include "some office space mixed in with stores and restaurants, smaller expanses of asphalt parking lots, and easy connections to biking and hiking trails."
Thomas Palmquist, CSM vice president, told the Star Tribune that they are looking at Trader Joe's, Whole Foods, and other grocery businesses to fill a 38,000 square-foot store.
While the city has previously been a proponent of a development with more office space, the developer, CSM, says that there is enough demand for office space in the area, reported the Star Tribune.
The city council could be looking at plans by November.
Should the site have a retail focus? What grocery store or other shops would you look to see at the site?
