Sport Clips Opening Second Location in Eagan

One storefront wasn't enough for Sport Clips Haircuts, which plans to open its second location in Eagan later this week, according to an announcement released by the company on Monday.

The new Sport Clips, located at 2000 Cliff Road in Eagan, will open its doors on Jan. 18. The opening is part of a larger initiative in Dakota County, according to Eagan Sport Clips Team Leader Preston Luman.

Luman already owns franchise locations in Eden Prairie, Bloomington, Lakeville and Apple Valley, and is planning to open an additional location in Apple Valley later this year. The Georgetown, Tex.-based company has over 1,000 locations across the country.

Sport Clips specializes in male hair care and accepts walk-in customers. The sports-themed ambience in each location is accentuated by large, flatscreen televisions playing sports programming at each haircut station. Massaging shampoos, steamed towel treatments and neck and shoulder massages will also be available at the business.

Store hours will be from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m., Monday through Friday; 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday; and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday.

Sport Clips also has a location at 1270 Promenade Place in Eagan.

Correction: Sport Clips already operates locations in Eden Prairie, Bloomington, Lakeville and Apple Valley, and has plans to develop an additional location in Apple Valley later this year.
