Thomson Reuters Cuts Nearly 200 Jobs in Eagan

The company notified the Minnesota Department of Employment and Economic Development of the cuts this week.

Thomson Reuters notified the Minnesota Department of Employment and Economic Development that the company cut 184 jobs in Eagan. The letter stated that the cuts would occur "'on or about' Jan. 6," according to the Pioneer Press.

Those jobs came from the area of management information services (MIS) company spokesman John Shaughnessy told Patch.

Thomson Reuters announced in October that the company would cut 3,000 jobs, about 5 percent of its workforce, which includes locations around the world.
There are approximately 7,000 employees at the Eagan location.

In December the company notified the Eagan employees who would be affected by the cuts, according to earlier reports
