Best-selling Bloom at Library

Amy Bloom to visit Dakota County as part of Club Book series

 

As part of the 2014 Club Book series hosted by Dakota County Library, internationally known author Amy Bloom will speak, answer audience questions and sign books at 7 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 14, at Galaxie Library, 14955 Galaxie Ave., Apple Valley. The Common Goods Bookstore will have Bloom’s books available for purchase at the event.

 

Bloom has seen worldwide success as a novelist, short story author and screen writer. Her short stories have been nominated for both the National Book Award and the National Book Critics Circle Award, and appeared in popular anthologies including The Best American Short Stories and O. Henry Prize Stories. A psychotherapist by training, Bloom also created, wrote, and produced the Lifetime comedy-drama about a psychiatrist, “State of Mind.”

 

The Club Book event is sponsored by MELSA, the legacy amendment, Minnesota Public Radio, MinnPost, Library Strategies and Dakota County Library.
