Tyler shows you some advantages of YouTube that can propel your business' marketing.

YouTube, as you all know, is an extremely popular social media website where you can stream and watch videos on pretty much any topic you can possibly think of. But have you ever thought about using YouTube as a marketing tool to advertise your business’ product or service? There are plenty of advantages to doing so.

The first advantage of marketing on YouTube is that it is a free and simple way to advertise. You can start up your own video channel and post regular video updates that are entertaining as well as informational you can market your product or service at no cost to you.

Another advantage to using YouTube is that it is one of the most popular social media websites on the internet; just behind Facebook and Twitter. So there is no fear when thinking if anyone will be aware of your product or service because chances are that someone is searching for you. After all it is one of the most browsed search engines online. Additionally, with just a few clicks you can share your videos to other social media platforms, like Facebook and Twitter.

YouTube is also the second largest search engine online; second to Google when YouTube is actually owned by Google. One way to get your product or service ranked higher on Google is to also market your business on YouTube. That way, when searched on Google, your business will appear on both Google and YouTube.

Here at the Dakota County Regional Chamber of Commerce we are no stranger to the use of YouTube. We have used YouTube’s services and posted our own musical parodies, like our latest video “Chamber Style (Gangnam Style Parody), marketing the chamber. Those videos can be seen here.
