Started by Amanda Hesser, columnist for the The New York Times and food writer Merrill Stubbs, Food52.com is one of my favorite websites. The website has weekly recipe contests sent in by readers of the site. The winners and all of the submitted recipes are posted online. And now the first 52 are published in a cookbook with great recipes from the community.
The contest this week is the best vanilla dishes and the most intriguing is Totally not blank vanilla chicken. Other contests include the best grape recipe, the best lettuce recipe, the best pub food and the list goes on. Recipes can be found quite easily and range from the common to the most unusual combinations.
Multiple feature blogs are awesome. Genius recipes are my favorite. Big feast is beautiful—check out Emily's Big Feast —The Big Day which features a 17-course Scandinavian celebration. The food photos are beautiful.
