If it weren’t for my sponsor, the VFW Post 9433 Women’s Auxiliary, I don’t know if I would currently be an Eagan Funfest Ambassador. When I knew I wanted to be an Eagan Funfest Ambassador, the first step to becoming royalty was to try and get a sponsor. I had a couple ideas but I decided to approach the VFW Post 9433 Women’s Auxiliary. I chose the Women’s Auxiliary because I have been around the VFW ever since I can remember. I’ve done so much community service work there, you wouldn’t believe it. Some examples of my service activities there have included monthly bingo help at the Minneapolis Veteran’s Home, helping organize the Christmas and Easter kids’ holiday parties, Memorial Day services and community parades. Giving back to this giving organization means a lot to me. Our service men and women and their families sacrifice so much everyday so I am proud to be able to give back whatever I can to them.
I want to thank all the members of the VFW Post 9433 Women’s Auxiliary who helped sponsor me. You have no clue how much this Ambassador year has meant to me. Without your sponsorship I wouldn’t have been able to meet all my wonderful fellow Ambassadors, all the Funfest committee members and all the other extraordinary people I have met so far. Thank you again for this tremendous opportunity you have given me!
