The art park will host workshops and a photo contest this summer along with a Family Portraiture Day.

Editor's note: The following is a press release from Caponi Art Park.

In its 6th year, Caponi Art Park and Learning Center’s photography program, sponsored by Legacy Creative Images, continues to offer resources for aspiring photographers of all ages. In addition to the annual photo contest culminating with a gallery exhibition, Caponi Art Park’s photography program also includes a workshop for beginner photographers, a class about storing digital images, and Family Portraiture Day.

Beginning May 18 through October 6, all are invited to submit up to five images taken at Caponi Art Park during 2013. Select photographs will be displayed at the Caponi Art Park Photography Exhibition at the Eagan Community Center this winter. Photographers of the first and second place photographs in both youth and adult categories will receive an enlarged high quality print of their photograph after the exhibition.

Caponi Art Park will also offer two photography workshops taught by Michael Proebstle of Legacy Creative Images. Each workshop is $5 per person. Please call 651.454.9412 to register as space is limited.
