Contenders for Rosemount-Eagan-Apple Valley School Board Invited to Info Session
School board members Art Coulson, Gary Huusko and Mike Roseen are up for re-election.
Calling all candidates.
District 196 has sent an invitation out to all who may be considering a run for one of three seats on the Rosemount-Eagan-Apple Valley School Board this fall. Next Tuesday, interested parties are encouraged to attend an informational meeting with Superintendent Jane K. Berenz at the District Office in Rosemount. Berenz will tell potential candidates about the district and answer any questions they may have.
Filing for the three positions is close at hand. The filing period begins on July 30 and runs through Aug. 13. Eligible candidates must be residents of the district who are able to vote and at least 21 years of age. Registered sex offenders cannot run for school board.

The board positions up for the election Nov. 5 include three seats, currently held by Art Coulson, Gary Huusko and Mike Roseen. School Board members in District 196 serve four year terms.
The informational meeting will take place on Tuesday, July 23, at 6:30 p.m.
