New Chipotle Location Serving Customers

Chipotle Mexican Grill opened its newest location in Eagan today, Dec. 15, at 2075 Cliff Road. The restaurant will be open daily from 11 a.m.-10 p.m.

The new location will offer a focused menu of burritos, burrito bowls (a burrito without the tortilla), salads, tacos and a new kid’s menu all made with ingredients from sustainable sources, including naturally raised meats, local and organic veggies, and cheese and sour cream made with milk from cows that are never treated with the synthetic hormone rBGH (recombinant bovine growth hormone).

As part of Chipotle’s locally-sourced initiative, local produce will be grown on farms within 350 miles of the restaurants where it will be served, including located just seven miles from the new location. The company began serving locally grown produce in its restaurants in 2008, and has been working to increase its local produce supply each year since beginning the program.

Furthermore, the new South Eagan location, along with all of Chipotle’s Minnesota restaurants serve naturally raised chicken from local Minnesota
supplier Just BARE Chicken, a line of poultry produced by Gold N’ Plump, a St. Paul-based company – is parallel to Chipotle’s philosophy by providing naturally raised chickens that are raised in a humane way, never given antibiotics or added hormones, and fed a pure vegetarian diet. All the chickens are raised by independent and local family farmers throughout Minnesota and the upper Midwest.

Chipotle opened its first restaurant in 1993 and currently operates more than 1,100 restaurants.
