Take a Trip into the Past: Tour Eagan's 1914 Town Hall

Think you know your city? Test your knowledge of Eagan history this week, when the 1914 Town Hall Museum will hold two open house events.

Word to the wise: The white clapboard structure is the second town hall in Eagan's history, built after a fire destroyed the first (constructed in 1893). The second building stood the test of time, however. It served as the city's meeting hall for over 50 years, until 1965, when the city's population began growing at a blistering clip. Though it has been retired from its official duties, the Town Hall building has been restored and now serves as a museum, operated by the Eagan Historical Society.

This week, the 1914 Town Hall Museum will offer displays, photos, a history scavenger hunt and more during two June Open Houses at the 1914 Town Hall on Thursday, June 20 from 4 to 6 p.m. and on Sunday, June 23, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

The building is located at the southwest corner of Pilot Knob and Wescott Road.
