What's Open, What's Closed on Christmas Day and Christmas Eve 2012 in Eagan

Here's a quick guide to help you navigate Eagan during Christmas Day and Christmas Eve 2012.

Because Christmas Day is a federal holiday recognized by the state of Minnesota, city government will take the day off—which means that Eagan's City Hall, Wescott Library and all other branches of the Dakota County Library system are closed. Dakota County libraries will also be closed Christmas Eve, but Eagan’s City Hall will be open from 8 a.m. to noon.

On Christmas Eve, holiday hours go into effect for the Eagan Community Center, which will remain open from 5:45 a.m. to 2 p.m. The center is closed Christmas Day.

The United States Post Office will also be operating under reduced hours on Christmas Eve and will be closed Christmas Day

Many local retailers and supermarkets will be open on Christmas Eve, including Target and Cub Foods. Walgreens will be open until 9 p.m. on Christmas Day and regular hours Christmas Eve.

Many private businesses are traditionally closed on Labor Day, so be sure to check our business listings to get their phone number and call before you head out.
