Eagan Foundation Accepting Community Grant Applications

The Eagan Foundation supports the community through student scholarships, community initiatives and grants.

The Eagan Foundation is now accepting grant proposals from nonprofit organizations looking to fund Eagan-based initiatives.

Eligible organizations should be based in Eagan and serve Eagan residents, according to a statement from the Eagan Foundation.

Grants awarded in the past were typically $1,000 or less, but the foundation encourages organizations to specify the request needed in a detailed grant proposal.

"This is a cause in which our organization strongly believes and focuses its efforts,” Jon Hohenstein, chair of the community grants committee, said in a news release.

Applications are due by Jan. 24. Mail applications to: Eagan Foundation, Inc., c/o Community Grants Committee, P.O. Box 211192, Eagan, MN 55121.

The Eagan Foundations will announce awards in February. Find the grant application at: www.eaganfoundation.org. Email admin@eaganfoundation.org for more information.

The Eagan Foundation is a nonprofit organization that seeks to "make Eagan the best place to live, work and play." The organization has raised or reinvested $1,024,000 in the community since its founding in 1990.

Fundraising events that support the Eagan Foundation include A Taste of the Eagan Foundation and Eagan Has Talent. The talent show also supports Eagan High School's Muse Literary Arts program.
