Eagan Foundation Wine Tasting and Silent Auction

Tickets are now on sale for the Denim & Diamonds gala, the Eagan Foundation’s annual wine tasting and silent auction on Tuesday, April 12, 2010, 6 to 9 p.m. at the Eagan Community Center. Proceeds from the event will go to support the Eagan Foundation’s community outreach including scholarship programs, community initiatives and local grant making. Tickets are $40 per person in advance ($50 after April 5) and may be purchased at http://www.eaganfoundation.org.

This year’s event marks the 20th anniversary of the Eagan Foundation, which began awarding scholarships to Eagan students in 1991. “In honor of our 20th anniversary, we’re inviting folks to dress up their denim in fun and creative ways,” said Patti Engel, Eagan Foundation chair. “We’re so proud to be marking 20 years of working to make Eagan the best place to live, learn, work and play. This event helps us to continue that mission—all money raised goes right to work in our community supporting students and local nonprofits.”

Participants can sample a wide variety of wines from Perrier Liquors and taste beers brewed by Granite City Food & Brewery; catering is provided by Kowalski's of Eagan, and live entertainment will be featured throughout the night. The silent auction will also feature some exciting “Denim & Diamonds” items from jewels, to sports memorabilia to Eagan-themed experiences.
