BLOG: Brownies Learn "It's Good To Give"

Red Pine School Brownies use cookie funds to provide birthday bags for less fortunate kids.

A group of second graders from the in Eagan, who belong to Brownie Troop 54075, decided to use the funds they collected from selling Girl Scout cookies to purchase items to make Cheerful Givers birthday bags.  Kaitlyn said “I learned it’s good to give to others” and Evie said “The best part was making someone feel special.”   Birthday bags were then donated to food shelves in the community so that less fortunate parents can recognize their child's birthday with a gift.

Cheerful Givers welcomes all types of groups (corporate, civic, school, faith-based or families) to get involved, as the need continues to grow.  For more information visit www.cheerfulgivers.org or contact karen@cheerfulgivers.org.
