Cheerful Givers Honored As 2013 Top-Rated Nonprofit

Cheerful Givers has been honored with a 2013 Top-Rated Award by GreatNonprofits, the leading provider of user reviews about nonprofit organizations.

“We are excited to be named a Top-Rated 2013 Nonprofit,” says Karen Kitchel, President of Cheerful Givers.    We are proud of our accomplishments this year, including providing birthday gifts for more than 100,000 less fortunate children in Minnesota.

The Top-Rated Nonprofit award was based on the large number of positive reviews that Cheerful Givers received – reviews written by volunteers, donors and clients. People posted their personal experience with the nonprofit.  For example, one person wrote,

            " I have volunteered and supported Cheerful Givers for over 10 years. It is a wonderful organization who provides Birthday gifts to food shelves and homeless shelters, so that parents in need do not have to tell their child that they are not getting a birthday gift. I grew up poor, and I had many birthdays without presents. I know what that feels like, and I work to prevent other kids from having similar experiences. I ask for anyone who can, to help with this cause."

Cheerful Givers was part of the inaugural group to qualify for the year.
