Attempted smears against DFL raise questions

A recent blog made some interesting allegations about State Senator Jim Carlson and the DFL.  The blog implied 2012 Republican candidates were fouled by deceptive Minnesota Democrats, while Republican candidates did nothing wrong.  The truth is Senator Carlson, and several Democratic candidates were not fined because they didn't participate in any illegal actions or rule infractions, alleged or otherwise.

The blog claims Republican candidates were hurt because Democrats spent more money.  But in the south metro districts in question, Republican candidates and their "independent friends" well outspent the Democrats.

It's time Republican candidates owned up to wanting special treatment.  We learn the elections board may have missed up to $26 million dollars in money provided to candidates over the past decade.  Is it possible that supposedly innocent Republican candidates broke campaign finance limits in the past and nobody discovered it?  Were past elections made unfair by election violations, the same kind the blog claimed soured the 2012 election?  The public has a right to know.
